OpenRouter

One key for hundreds of models from every major lab. Set it first: most apps run on it.

Used by: OpenSEO for its SEO agent; OpenCRM for its research agent and web research; OpenMail for its email agent.

API key

Sign in or sign up at openrouter.ai, with Google, GitHub or an email address.
Add credits at Settings → Credits: $10 is a good start, $5 the minimum. Without credits every call fails.
Open Settings → Keys and select Create Key. Give it a monthly credit limit you're happy to lose.
Copy the key. It's shown once.

Add it to your Gateway. It asks for the key:

everyapp provider add openrouter

To make it the model provider apps get by default:

everyapp ai default openrouter

In the app's everyapp.config.ts:

providers: ["openrouter"],

The app calls /api/ai/openrouter/… with createGatewayFetch(). More in AI.

Check it worked: everyapp ai list shows openrouter with its key set.

Cost: The answer's usage.cost is the call's price in USD, per model.
