API key

  1. Sign in to the Stripe dashboard. Switch to a sandbox to try things first.
  2. Open Developers → API keys and select Create restricted key.
  3. Set Read only on what the app needs (for example Customers, Subscriptions and Charges). Leave the rest at None.
  4. Select Create key and copy it (rk_live_…, or rk_test_… in a sandbox).

Add it to your Gateway. It asks for the key:

everyapp provider add stripe

Use it in an app

In the app's everyapp.config.ts:

capabilities: {
  stripe: { access: "read", why: "What the app does with it." },
},

The app calls Stripe's API with integrationFetch(), and the Gateway adds the key. Use "write" if the app changes things. More in API providers.

Check it worked: everyapp provider show stripe shows the key as set.

Cost: No per-call price; reads should average under 500 per transaction over 30 days, with at least 10,000 a month allowed.

Rate limits: 100 calls a second. Live mode, per account; sandbox 25/s; most single endpoints 25/s; Search 20/s.
