Google Gemini

Google's Gemini models through their OpenAI-compatible endpoint: chat, embeddings, images.

1. Sign in to Google AI Studio with a Google account.
2. Open Get API key and select Create API key, in a new or an existing Google Cloud project.
3. Restrict the key to the Gemini API (the key's settings in the Cloud console, API restrictions).
4. Copy the key. Free keys have low limits; turn on billing in the project for real use.

Add it to your Gateway. It asks for the key:

everyapp provider add gemini

To make it the model provider apps get by default:

everyapp ai default gemini

In the app's everyapp.config.ts:

The app calls /api/ai/gemini/… with createGatewayFetch(). More in AI.

Check it worked: everyapp ai list shows gemini with its key set.

Rate limits: Per project, not per key: requests and tokens per minute and requests per day, by tier (Free, then Tiers 1 to 3).
