API key

Open api-dashboard.search.brave.com and create an API key with only the access your apps need.
Copy it. It may be shown only once.

What to create: Activate a plan (it includes $5 of free credit a month), then create a key under API Keys.

Add it to your Gateway. It asks for the key:

everyapp provider add brave-search

In the app's everyapp.config.ts:

The app calls Brave Search's API with integrationFetch(), and the Gateway adds the key. More in API providers.

Check it worked: everyapp provider show brave-search shows the key as set.

Cost: Search $5 per 1k requests; Answers $4 per 1k plus $5 per million tokens; $5 free credit a month; only successful calls count.

Rate limits: 50 calls a second. Search plan 50 queries per second; Answers 2 per second.
