API key

  1. Open mixpanel.com and create an API key with only the access your apps need.
  2. Copy it. It may be shown only once.

What to create: A service account from Organization Settings > Service Accounts.

Add it to your Gateway. It asks for the key:

everyapp provider add mixpanel

Use it in an app

In the app's everyapp.config.ts:

capabilities: {
  mixpanel: { access: "read", why: "What the app does with it." },
},

The app calls Mixpanel's API with integrationFetch(), and the Gateway adds the key. Use "write" if the app changes things. More in API providers.

Check it worked: everyapp provider show mixpanel shows the key as set.

Rate limits: Per project: Query API 60 queries an hour, 5 at once; Raw Data Export 60 an hour, 3 a second, 100 at once; ingestion about 2 GB a minute.
