YouTube channels and their analytics, and Google Business Profiles.

Connect accounts

Each person connects their own YouTube account in the Gateway, once, and every app that asks uses it. Apps never see the tokens. How connecting works

The redirect URI to register, with your Gateway's address (like apps.example.com):

https://<your gateway>/connect/youtube/callback

Its own Google Cloud project, apart from google-workspace's: YouTube's scopes need their own verification. Not yet tried against a live connect.

  1. Open console.cloud.google.com and create an OAuth app (also called a client or an integration).
  2. Add the redirect URI above.
  3. Copy the client ID and client secret. The secret is often shown only once.

Add it to your Gateway. It asks for the client ID and secret:

everyapp provider add youtube

Or add it in Manage workspace → Providers.

Use it in an app

capabilities: {
  youtube: { access: "read", scopes: ["youtube.read"], why: "What the app does with it." },
},

Apps ask for these scope sets:

SetAllowsProvider scopes
identityGoogle account (who you are)https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email
youtube.readYouTube channels and analytics (read)https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/yt-analytics.readonly
youtube.writeYouTube channels (upload and manage)https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl
business.writeGoogle Business Profiles (read and post)https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage

Check it worked: everyapp provider show youtube shows the client as set. Then open the account menu → Connected accounts → Connect YouTube.
