Web-grounded answers from the Agent API, raw web search results, and embeddings.

API key

Open console.perplexity.ai and create an API key with only the access your apps need.
Copy it. It may be shown only once.

What to create: An API key from the Perplexity console.

Add it to your Gateway. It asks for the key:

everyapp provider add perplexity

In the app's everyapp.config.ts:

capabilities: {
  perplexity: { access: "read", why: "What the app does with it." },
},

The app calls Perplexity's API with integrationFetch(), and the Gateway adds the key. More in API providers.

Check it worked: everyapp provider show perplexity shows the key as set.

Cost: Agent API per token plus tool fees (web_search $0.0025 a call); Search API $5 per 1,000 requests.
