OpenAnalytics

Web analytics for your sites. No cookies, no stored IP addresses.

OpenAnalytics is web analytics for your own sites. Add a small tag to a site and see its pages, referrers, campaigns, visitors, events, funnels and goals, with a live view. It sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses; Cloudflare resolves location at the edge. It is a fork of InsightFlare by RavelloH, with its accounts, teams, API keys and email setup replaced by what your Gateway already provides.

Features

  • No cookies and no stored IP addresses. Location is resolved at the edge.
  • A tracker of about 3 KB gzipped, with custom events, user identification and Web Vitals.
  • Dashboards for pages, referrers, campaigns, sessions, visitors, events, funnels, goals, retention, location, devices, browsers and performance, with a live view.
  • Read-only public share links for any site.
  • Scheduled and threshold email notifications, sent through the Gateway.
  • Bot filtering, with a page that shows what was blocked.
  • MCP tools for your AI clients, through your Gateway's connector: query reports, manage sites.
  • Dashboard in English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) and Japanese.

Install

From your EveryApp folder:

pnpm everyapp install https://github.com/every-app/open-analytics
pnpm everyapp configure analytics

The second command asks for the one key below. Run the first again later to update.

MAIN_SECRETOpenAnalyticsYesThe root secret for visitor salts and collect tokens; 32 or more random characters, for example openssl rand -base64 32. Keep it stable: changing it splits visitor counts.
EMAIL_FROM and EMAIL_FROM_NAMEGatewayOptionalEmails scheduled reports and alerts to members who turned email notifications on. Without it, reports and alerts stay in the app. Email

Then open https://analytics.<your gateway domain>, create a site, and add its snippet to your website:

Public without sign-in: what visitors and share-link viewers need. The tracker /script.js (GET) and the collector /collect (POST), the share pages under /share/** and /:locale/share/** with their data under /api/public/share/** and /api/public/resources/**, and the built assets and icons. Everything else needs a signed-in member. Once installed, every member of your workspace can open the dashboards.

What you need

  • Nothing beyond your Gateway. No R2, no API key.
  • A sending domain on the Gateway if you want reports and alerts by email.

Page views and events are kept for 396 days by default, hourly totals indefinitely. Change this in System Settings.
