Sign in from a desktop or phone app
Some apps have a Mac or phone app. You sign it in with your Gateway account, in your browser, and it can use that one app as you.
Some apps come with a desktop or phone app, like a Mac recorder for a notes app. You sign it in with your Gateway account. It never sees your password.
- In the desktop app, type the app's address, the one you open in your browser, like
https://notes.apps.yourcompany.com. - Your browser opens your Gateway. Sign in if it asks.
- Check the page. It says which desktop app wants to use which app, with the app's address and your workspace, like "OpenZen for Mac wants to use OpenZen". If the desktop app isn't the one you're signing in, select Don't allow. Otherwise select Allow.
- Go back to the desktop app. You're signed in.
If the page says Can't sign in, you can't open that app yet. Ask an owner or admin for access.
It can use that one app, as you, and nothing else. If you lose access to the app, it does too.
Sign out
Sign out in the desktop app. Or, in the Gateway, open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar, then AI connections. Under Apps on your devices, select Sign out and confirm. It stops at once.
If you run the Gateway behind Cloudflare Access
The app has to list the paths its desktop app uses. If the desktop app shows a login page instead of working, ask whoever builds the app to add them, then redeploy it.
Use your apps from Claude or ChatGPT
Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex or Cursor to your Gateway once, and they can use every app you can open.
Connect GitHub (or any OAuth provider)
Let your apps use people's GitHub, Google, Notion or other accounts. You add the provider once; each person connects their own account.
